GTA V Racetrack - Speedrun

Speedrun is the racetrack that I created within GTA V's level editor. The course consists of many obstacles along the way, including tubes that racers must drive all around to avoid crashing, a huge jump where players must maintain their speed to cross, a loop with no road on the way down, where players need to control the positioning of their cars, and finished off by some smaller jumps, hills, and turns.
While creating this course, my design philosophy was to give the players an exciting rush at the beginning to middle portion of the race, with the middle holding the loop, the one time players come across this part, then finish off with a less crazy but still interesting race where they still need to focus to avoid falling off the track. This in a sense, makes the player want to return to the most memorable part of the level, which is centered around the loop. Then before they know it, the race is over and they have completed all necessary laps.

During the creation process of this track. I spent a very long time testing, and creating everything exactly how I wanted it. One time, the game even crashed and my progress was sent back an hour or so. However, I was determined to finish this race, and pushed forward nonetheless.
The biggest issues in the creation were that the tubes had players falling and crashing too often, and the jump to the loop was too hard to make. The tube problem was addressed by changing the angle that players drove up the tubes at. By adding different pieces and altering positions, eventually the tubes worked well, and players can always make it up no matter what.
The loop jump was fixed just by moving that specific area closer to the area where racers initially jump. I still wanted the gap to be big though, to give the players a sense of accomplishment for clearing such a far gap. The loop also required a lot of lining up with the bottom part after the road disconnects from the track. This just required a lot of testing before it was finally lined up properly, but makes for one of my favourite parts of the track.
